Long Bio

Born and raised in the Lone-star State of Texas, one could argue that Kim Wadsworth's comedy career first began when she was voted the Class Clown of Alvarado High School. Since officially diving into stand up comedy, she has performed at clubs and festivals all over the country.

A proud Air Force veteran and mother, Kim is a powerful voice within the LGBTQIA+ community. Her unique experiences, whimsical wordplay, and personable stage presence have led her to win many comedy competitions over the years.

Kim waited a lifetime to step in front of the microphone. She was busy living...she joined the United States Air Force, traveled, and raised a son. But something was missing:  comedy.

Kim isn’t one to conform to anyone else's standards. She is anything but conventional. With her Texas accent, bleached Faux-hawk, and multiple ear-piercings she swaggers into the spotlight with a charming, "Hi, Y'all!" And thus begins the conversation that has audiences wanting more.

Winner of the 2023 U.S. Comedy Contest Headliner Category and Night Owls (2021) at Looney Bin Comedy Club Littlerock, AR, she has also appeared at the Women in Comedy Festival in Boston, Dallas Comedy Festival, She Rock Festival in Denton, TX, Pensacola Pre-Pride Comedy Festival, Laugh Riot GRRRL Comedy Festival in Los Angeles, Burbank Comedy Festival, the World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas-2021, 2022, and 2023, Midwest Queer Comedy Festival in Cleveland, OH, Boston Comedy Festival, Blue Whale Comedy Festival in Tulsa, OK, the LGBTLOL Comedy Festival in New Orleans, Tower City Comedy Festival in Paris, TX, Flagship City Comedy Festival in Erie, PA , Colorado Queer Comedy Festival, and Altercation Comedy Festival in Austin, TX.

Kim has jokes published in Judy Carter's, “The New Comedy Bible”, Bob Moher's compilation, "200 Comedy Writers and Stand Ups Walk into a Book," and "America's Best Bar Comics Vol. 1 - 2024 and Vol. 2 -2025" published by Bar Comedy USA.

She performs improv and sketch comedy in addition to stand up. Kim studied comedy with comedy masters Stephen Rosenfield, Jerry Corley, and Dean Lewis. She has shared the stage with Chaunte` Wayans, Jay Leno, Carla Collins, Shang Forbes, John Stringer, Linda Stogner, Ralph Barbosa, Luke Nulls, Jessica Kirson, Karen Mills, Dana Goldberg, Cliff Cash, and many others.  She was a finalist on "Operation Heal*arious", Season 1 on VetTV, and has made several appearances on the online Radio show, “Laughter Saves Lives Lives”. Kim has performed at some of the top clubs in Texas, California, Boston, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Atlanta, Phoenix, Florida, South Carolina, Colorado, Arkansas, Kansas, Nevada, and New York.

In 2024, she took her QueerJoy Comedy Tour to Europe, performing at the Comedy Club Haug in Rotterdam and Paleis van de Weemoed in Amsterdam’s world-famous Red Light District.

With appearances at Flapper's Comedy Club, Addison Improv, Arlington Improv, LOL San Antonio, The Comedy Arena, House of Comedy, Mic Drop, McCurdy's, Laughs Unlimited, and many clubs across the country, Kim has been able to hone her craft with a playful and light hearted "poke" at life's little mishaps.

From comedy clubs and festivals to veteran events and bar shows, Kim charms every audience with her approachable demeanor, Texas southern drawl, and no BS attitude. She’s equal parts bold and relatable. With her quick-wit, whimsical wordplay, and unique experiences, Kim’s not just telling jokes, she’s building bridges one punchline at a time.

She believes that comedy has no boundaries or borders. So, buckle up for a wild ride, as she navigates and embraces all the bumps and bruises life leaves behind.

Her debut album, "No Contest" is streaming on all platforms.
